I love this place so much! It seems to be owned and run by the sushi chef and man do they know what they're doing! The fresh fish and rolls and fantastic--quality and taste. The place is always busy and the staff is very nice. Best sushi in the area hands down!

A quick note -- the first time I tried to eat here it was an hour before closing and they supposedly ran out of rice. Never in my life have I heard of a sushi restaurant running out of rice. I found it impossible to believe and we did not eat there that night. I gave it one last try...
I really wanted to love this place because it's so close to home and it seemed like a decent spot but unfortunately we left a little disappointed. The service was unbelievably slow. With so few tables occupied in the restaurant while we were there, it still took nearly 20 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. The woman was very kind which is always nice but really they need at least two servers at dinner time, they only had one. The food also took forever. There was only one sushi chef and normally that doesn't seem to be a problem in the sushi restaurants I've visited but our kitchen item came out dead last for some reason and that was disappointing and quite unusual. The sushi rolls themselves were very mediocre, even bland. The fish was fresh enough and the presentation was ok but I've had much better for the same price at many other establishments. The place itself seems to have a cool music theme and the chef seemed like he cares about his food, so maybe it was an off evening for them but I don't anticipate coming back. The price and time it took was too off putting for us. -

I've spent too many years of my life addicted to Food Porn. It is my obsession, not yours. Besides, not all of us can have a body like Chris Evans in Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger. My apologies, it was a scrawny shakespearean actor and not Evans. But enough about that!
Village Sushi, as the name implies, is for the sushi connoisseur. The owner, Joe, I'd say is missing a few buttons, something only an artist could relate to. Think of an art museum x sushi joint. In order to take in the full experience, you must exchange your time and open mind. This isn't Rotten Tomatoes, but the sushi is definitely certified fresh. -

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim after we decided we didn't want any noodles.
We ordered 4 of their sushi rolls, Amaebi, tuna and salmon nigiri. Everything tasted absolutely fresh and tasty. Out of all the sushi rolls we ordered, the dragon and Godzilla rolls stood out for me. Our least favorite is the paradise roll. It was just too plain.
We really enjoyed the restaurant, however service was a bit slow. Our sushi came out so slow. I can see they had only one sushi chef that night. He was busting his butt though. I respect that. He was trying to make a lot of the sushi as fast as he can. It was a Friday night and a packed house. Despite him going super fast, the sushi came out superb. thumbs up for that! -

This place looks like a dive inside and out but they sling some very nice food here. They served me the best seaweed salad I've ever had while the sushi and soup were also very nice. The service was fast and efficient although the seating was a bit cramped. Overall the vibe, food and service combined to make for a pleasant dining experience and I would certainly make a repeat visit.
